Welcome to AWAKEN
Hey everyone! I’m Asiah (pronounced like “Asia”) and I am thrilled to share this space with you on Substack. As a firm believer in lifelong learning and personal achievement, my goal is to offer reflections and insights from my journey that might resonate with and support yours.
As a trained registered nurse, I approach life from a perspective of health and well-being. I believe that through storytelling, reflection, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we can create a more harmonious world. I enjoy tackling complex problems, asking challenging questions, and thinking outside the box. My hope is that my writing will inspire both my own evolution into the best version of myself and encourage others to embark on their own journeys of growth.
Why was AWAKEN born?
After leaving hospital work to pursue my PhD full-time, I found myself immersed not just in academic research — but in personal transformation. My work has centered on well-being, resilience, and burnout prevention, especially within professional spaces where so many adults spend the majority of their lives.
But beyond the classroom and research labs, I began turning inward — exploring the timeless wisdom of thinkers like James Allen, Napoleon Hill, and Og Mandino. Their words reshaped the way I approached success, discipline, and identity.
AWAKEN is the space where all of that comes together.
This blog reflects my evolution — from clinician to scholar to entrepreneur — and the lessons I’m learning along the way. Sometimes those lessons come from books or videos. Sometimes they come from life itself. Either way, I share them here to document my journey and spark something in you.
